The Tuscaloosa Cameo Guild is delighted to announce its newest holiday fundraiser, The Cameo Guild Christmas Tea, to be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion.
Guests are invited to step back in time for an elegant Victorian Christmas Tea, complete with charming seasonal activities, festive décor, and traditional holiday treats. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Tuscaloosa Cameo Guild Scholarship Program and Historic Tuscaloosa’s restoration projects, helping to preserve the city’s beloved historic landmarks.
Attendees will enjoy Victorian-themed crafts, including decorating a teacup ornament and creating mulling spice sachets to take home. Light snacks and punch will be served as guests rotate between conversational tea tables, craft stations, and a photo opportunity in the Mansion’s Conservatory.
Adding to the holiday spirit, the afternoon will feature Victorian parlor games like charades and pass the slipper, along with a reading of the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” (“’ Twas the Night Before Christmas”). Members of the Tuscaloosa Cameo Guild will appear in elegant period gowns, creating an immersive, old-fashioned Christmas experience.
The Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion will be adorned with ribbon candy, gumdrop trees, and mercury glass ornaments, transforming the historic home into a festive Victorian wonderland.
