WHO WE ARE
The Tuscaloosa Belles is a service organization that encourages a 2-year commitment of young women to learn and become involved in the various preservation opportunities in our community. Belles actively participate in the preservation of the heritage of our community as the youngest members of the Preservation Society. They do this actively through education, involvement in community service, and training for leadership.

WHAT WE DO
Specific objectives of the Belles include:
-
Educating Tuscaloosa's future preservationists through monthly Belles meetings focused on history, preservation, and etiquette.
-
Teaching philanthropic and charitable practices through community service hours and a senior service project.
-
Supporting the Tuscaloosa Preservation Society's mission of local preservation through fundraisers and charity drives.
-
Embodying the true spirit of a Southern Belle through practicing kindness, thoughtfulness, beauty, and poise.
ANNUAL EVENTS
BECOMING A BELLE
The Tuscaloosa Belles are nominated each year by members of the Century Club of the Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society and by current Belles. They are approved for membership after an application and interview process. Belles applicants must be entering their junior year of high school. The application process begins in the spring with interviews conducted during the summer months. For more information, reach out to the Belles Director below.
