Sundown Lecture Series, Thursday, March 10th 5:15 - 6:30 at the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion (1305 Greensboro Avenue.)  "Tuscaloosa Area Virtual Museum: An Online Research Tool for Historic Tuscaloosa." TAVM committee members will speak on the project and there will be a real-time demonstration of how the virtual museum works. Items of specific interest from cooperating agencies will include the following:

University of Alabama – Taylor Watson, Paul W. Bryant Museum

Bryce – Steve Davis, Alabama Department of Mental Health

Stillman College– Crystal Mealer, Stillman College Library

Light refreshments served.  Current Society members Free; $5 Non-Members.  Tuscaloosa Belles receive 2 service hours for attending.

Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday, March 20th at the Battle-Friedman House (1010 Greensboro Avenue) from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.  Hosted by the Junior Tuscaloosa Belles. Activities include the egg hunt, visits with the Easter Bunny, games and prizes, a petting farm from Tuscaloosa Barnyard, and a raffle for the adults.  $5 per adult, $1 per child.

 

Mingle and Mix Like It's 1966! The Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society's 50th Anniversary Event, Friday, August 26th at Regions Bank (2222 9th Street) from 7:30 - 9:30.

Join us for the Preservation Society's 50th Anniversary event "Mingle and Mix Like It's 1966"! Don your 60's attire and celebrate the glory of the decade and the legacy of the Preservation Society in Tuscaloosa. Food, Music, Fun, and Friends! Tickets are $66 per person.
